Recognizing Excellence in Tomato Production

THE PROGRAM
An annual award program in Mexico sponsored by Fresh Americas, organized and promoted by Productores de Hortalizas magazine and Meister Media Worldwide, and awarded live at the International Tomato Congress, with the cooperation of the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture.

This premier recognition effort is designed to honor those businesses who are taking the tomato specialty segment of the agricultural industry to new levels of quality, innovation, stewardship and professionalism.

Award winners will be selected for their excellence in several different areas of endeavor, including the following:

• Excellence and creativity in production and marketing
• Initiative and innovation in food quality and safety
• Technological innovation
• Community outreach and environmental stewardship
• Personnel training and development
• An overall spirit of achievement

The Tomato Grower Achievement Award winner will be announced at the 2008 International Tomato Congress which will take place in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico on July 23-25, 2008.

Meister Media Worldwide is a leading communication and information
center for worldwide specialized agriculture. The multimedia company publishes Productores de Hortalizas magazine, the leading agricultural magazine in Mexico and Central America, among several other specialized agriculture magazines and books, and organizes the International Tomato Congress in Mexico.

One business will be selected and will receive a public award to recognize its efforts and achievements in tomato production at a national and international level.

By filling out the Nomination Form and sending photos of your operation—or that of another operation you believe is deserving—you are taking the first steps to showing your commitment to quality, innovation, stewardship and professionalism.

The winner of the Tomato Grower Achievement Award will receive a trip to the 2007 International Tomato Congress, a trophy, and extensive publicity at a national and international level.

In addition, Productores de Hortalizas magazine will run a feature article about the winning operation, as well as recognize the five top finalists.
